First visit
New here? You're in the right place.
Trying a new esthetician can feel vulnerable, especially when you're booking an intimate service. Here's exactly what to expect.
The whole appointment
Eight steps, in order.
You should be able to picture your appointment before you ever walk in.
Arrive
You'll come into Summerset Salon & Day Spa in Flint, Michigan and let the front know you're here for Soften. Arrive a few minutes early if you'd like to settle, use the restroom, or just breathe for a second. You don't need to look ready.
We talk first
Before anything begins, we go over what you booked, what you're hoping for, anything you're nervous about, and anything on your skin or in your medicine cabinet that matters. This is also where you tell me how much you want to know as we go.
You get privacy
I leave the room while you undress or prepare — as much or as little as the service requires. You'll have a clean drape and time to get comfortable, and I knock before I come back in.
Positioning is explained
I never assume you know where to put your body. I'll tell you exactly how to lie, when to move, and what to do with your hands, and I adjust the drape so only the area being treated is uncovered.
Every step is communicated
You'll hear what's next before it happens — warmth, pressure, a quick pull, a cool towel. No surprise sensations, and no silent stretches where you're left wondering what's going on.
The service
Efficient, deliberate, professional work. Your appointment isn't rushed to hit a number, and it isn't stretched to fill time. Bodies are treated matter-of-factly, because that's what they are.
Aftercare
A short, clear list of what to avoid for the next day or two and what to do if your skin needs something. I'd rather you remember three things than nod at fifteen.
Rebooking
I'll tell you when I'd suggest coming back and why, and then leave it with you. No pressure, no packages you have to decline twice.
